A hand-knit Christmas stocking is an article for Christmas festivities under HTS 9505.10.25, a line on the CBP Section 338 list — CBP put a knitted-fabric Christmas stocking on exactly that subheading in ruling N323824 — so every stocking Lily N' Stitch ships to an American family now carries a 50% duty on top of the price, in effect since August 22, 2026. Veenstra's originals are paintings executed entirely by hand, HTS 9701.91.00 on the CBP Section 338 list, and the giclees, watercolour prints and posters she strikes from them are printed pictures under HTS 4911.91.40 on the same list, so a 50% additional US duty has applied to both since August 22, 2026. In her own words, "For every one of my paintings, I offer the following print purchase options suited to your budget" — which means there is no price point in the shop an American buyer can reach without the duty. Isabelle Auger has been bending Canadian wood veneer into lamps in a Grover building studio on rue Parthenais in Montreal since 2010 — the ALBA, PERLA, PERA and FLORA collections of hanging lamps, PETULA wall lamps, and sixteen plug-in table lamps topping out at $330, among them the eleven-inch Alba at $250, oak veneer over a solid wood base with an eight-foot cord, switch and plug — shapes drawn from flowers, fruit, bulbs and nuts.

Atelier Cocotte's table lamps — wood veneer bodies on solid wood bases, wired with a cord, switch and plug and an E12 socket that takes any bulb up to a 60-watt equivalent — are electric table lamps not of base metal and not designed for use solely with LED sources, HTS 9405.29.80, which Annex II of the September 8 proclamation adds to the Section 338 list at a 50% additional duty on goods entered "on or after 12:01 a.m. eastern time on September 15, 2026". On the $250 Alba lamp in oak that is $125 in duty before shipping.
