Lorette C. Luzajic builds one-off mixed-media collage paintings on gallery-stretched canvas in Toronto — 48-by-48-inch urban expressionist abstracts, 24-by-24 medium works, and the 12-by-12-inch "Signature Squares" that sell for around C$450 — out of acrylic paint, gouache, found papers, chalk pastels, oil sticks, wax crayons, graphite and spray paint, alongside her Shrines, Treasure Boxes and commissions.

Up until now, it has been mostly just the economic uncertainty that has created a lot of an effect on collection and on the collectors’ ability buy art, both in Canada, in the United States and around the world. Mark London sells Inuit art out of the 1886 Brome Lea house on Chemin Knowlton: serpentine carvings such as Henry Evaluardjuk’s Fox and Padlaya Qiatsuq’s Owl, and original works on paper — Kenojuak Ashevak lithographs at $1,500, Saimaiyu Akesuk stonecuts, Ooloosie Saila etchings with chine collé at $800, Janet Kigusiuq drawings — with textiles and Iroquois sculpture alongside them.

Chris Campbell keeps close to a hundred colonies at his apiary in Georgina, Ontario, and sells the crop as "Raw, unpasteurized, cold filtered honey": Wildflower Honey at $12 for 500g and $22 for the kilo, a $10 Honey Bear, Chocolate Honey and cinnamon, lemon and vanilla Creamed Honey at $12 a jar, a $25 Paw Wax, and quarter, half and full Hive Shares from $125 to $450 that pay out in that hive's own honey at the end of the season; bee pollen, propolis tincture and beeswax show in the home-page gallery but are not in the shop.

Raw wildflower and creamed honey is natural honey, HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list, a line carrying a 50% US duty since August 22, 2026. Hiveshare's own delivery page says "We offer shipping for customers across Canada" and nothing beyond it, so the duty does not land on its checkout; it lands on the Canadian honey market Hiveshare sells into. CBC reported that small Ontario honey companies "may not be exporting their product to the U.S., but they worry a new 50 per cent tariff will encourage larger honey producers based in the Prairies to crowd the Ontario market", and Farmers Forum quoted a beekeeper on the same measure: "The whole industry is in an uproar over this.
