A studio in a warehouse north of Toronto builds wooden-crate mysteries and boxed puzzle games, priced in US dollars on its Shopify store: the US$225 HASTUR crate, the US$75 Dead Man's Tale escape-room game and the US$75 Doomensions pop-up escape room, the US$95 Curious Correspondence Master Collection of cipher chapters and US$45 PostMortem murder-mystery case files, each packed with forged documents, lost journals, aged newspaper clippings, maps, scrolls, coins and custom-made statues and artifacts.
MPC sells what it calls "Immersive Mystery & Puzzle Games Delivered to Your Door", boxed puzzle experiences that fall under HTS 9503.00.00, the toys and puzzles of all kinds line on the CBP Section 338 list, which carries a 50% additional duty on entry to the United States, in effect since August 22, 2026. On the US$225 HASTUR crate that is roughly US$112 in duty before shipping, and on a US$75 Dead Man's Tale about US$38.
