Mark London sells Inuit art out of the 1886 Brome Lea house on Chemin Knowlton: serpentine carvings such as Henry Evaluardjuk’s Fox and Padlaya Qiatsuq’s Owl, and original works on paper — Kenojuak Ashevak lithographs at $1,500, Saimaiyu Akesuk stonecuts, Ooloosie Saila etchings with chine collé at $800, Janet Kigusiuq drawings — with textiles and Iroquois sculpture alongside them.
People are either going to stop buying, or they’re going to buy far less, or American collectors will just buy what is already in the United States
