Honeybee Centre runs about 1,200 colonies out of Cloverdale and sells the mono-floral honeys those hives make - blueberry, raspberry, cranberry, blackberry and pumpkin - plus creamed honey, cinnamon and berry infused honey spreads, bee pollen, propolis, royal jelly, pure beeswax, hand-dipped and poured beeswax candles, soap and lip balm.
Honeybee Centre’s jarred honey is natural honey under HTS 0409.00.00 and its beeswax candles fall under HTS 3406.00.00, both carrying an added 50% US duty since August 22, 2026. The farm offers wholesale honey for "Retail / Export" in 250gm, 500 and 1kg jars and in 5kg pails and 275kg drums, so any barrels or cases it sends south now carry the duty; its Canada Post retail orders inside Canada do not. The honey is extracted and jarred on site: "Honeybee Centre operates its own Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) approved Honey Producer – Packer facility (CFIA #2792)", and the products are "created directly from our beekeeping operations" at the Surrey farm, with clover and alfalfa honey also produced from its colonies in the Peace River country of northern BC and Alberta and beeswax and pollen topped up from other British Columbia and Alberta beekeepers. The shop also resells a few outside lines, including Manuka honey, that are not its own.
