The Hiemstra family keeps bees on Imperial Road at Aylmer, Ontario, and pours six floral sources of unpasteurized honey in a restored 1852 log cabin shop - Summer Blossom, Sweet Clover, Thistle, Golden Rod, Wild Blueberry and Buckwheat - beside twelve creamed honey spreads, hot honey, honey butter, bee pollen and beeswax, with a family adventure farm of rides and attractions around it.
Clovermead's pure and creamed honey is natural honey under HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list, a line that has carried a 50% US duty since August 22, 2026. The honey shop is open year round and sells online, but its shipping policy speaks only of delivery costs "north of Toronto", so whether any jars go to American customers is not stated; any that do now carry half again their price at the border.
