The Unger family keeps bees on a 50 acre farm at Niagara-on-the-Lake and sells unpasteurized wildflower and dandelion honey, creamed honey in more than a dozen flavours and apitherapy honeys from a farm store that also carries beekeeping supplies, nucs, queens and classes.
B-Y's sells "Unpasteurized Wildflower Honey 1kg" at $28.00 and "Natural Creamed Honey" at $13.00 from its own Niagara-on-the-Lake hives. Natural honey is HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list, so a jar sent to an American buyer has carried a 50% US duty under HTS 0409.00.00 since August 22, 2026. Pure honey that comes from the hive directly into the jar without any additives or intense heating." The shop also resells jars from other Canadian producers, listed under their own names such as "Kidd Bros. Fireweed Honey 1kg".

Unpasteurized and creamed honey from Ontario hives are natural honey under HTS 0409.00.00; the beekeeping supplies, candles and classes in the same shop are not.
